Do you enjoy executing a well planned tactic? Do you crave for the thrill of the hunt and the adrenaline rush?
Is the concept of shooting the other guy appealing to you? Want to carry a cool looking gun and probably crawl
around bushes? Do you want to get killed? Well if your answer for the last one is NO and all the others are YES,
then you are one of those people who enjoy military sports. It could be air soft, paint ball, or laser tagging, but
as long as there are guns involved without the killing, you can relish the adventure. For such a sport you need the
right equipment: the replica gun, body armor, camouflage suited to your field of choice, and the face guard to
prevent your face from being mangled. Even though this sport you are on is really just a game and is in no way
meant to injure or kill anyone, there is always the possibility of getting hurt when you are talking about
projectiles and running and tumbling.
Your overall protection consists of your camouflaged uniform, the body armor, knee and elbow pads, crotch guard
(very essential for a man), face guard, and of course army gloves. The last one is more often overlooked, but what
people don’t understand is that this is very important. Army gloves were made to protect the soldier’s hands
because this is one of the most important parts of a soldier. If the hands are damaged with cuts or bruises then
the soldier cannot operate well. And army gloves are not just made of simple cloth, they are made with very strong
and protective materials like Kevlar and sometimes embedded with lead and other metal, and are most often
padded.

There are many kinds of army gloves made for different purposes. Thinsulate gloves are made with a thin,
insulating material which allows for great dexterity despite being thin. This is essential for cold weather where
thick mittens simply will not do. There are also Gore-Tex gloves which are made to resist water and any type of
weather. Kevlar gloves are made to resist the toughest conditions. Sealskinz gloves are made of Nylon and Lycra
Spandex, the combination of which allows for your hand to breathe, letting perspiration escape while keeping water
out, so it is essentially water proof.
The simplest kinds of army gloves, however, are the fingerless gloves. They are made to protect and pad your
hands while giving the dexterity provided by bare fingers allowing you to operate with precision. They prevent your
hand from chaffing on the gun handle and edges and allows you grab or touch most surfaces without worry. These
gloves will be your best friend when playing air soft or paintballs, because in my experience 40% of hits are
actually on your hands because of the position when you are holding your gun. This can be very painful and pretty
annoying since you will be using your hands later on almost everything you do, unlike being hit on the arm where
most of the time you will not actually notice the bruise. So protect yourself, wear army gloves when playing
army.
